Meteorite
Extraterrestrial material that survived passage through the atmosphere to reach Earth. Meteorites fall outside the Strunz mineralogical classification but are collected alongside minerals for their scientific and aesthetic value. They include stony chondrites, achondrites and iron meteorites.
